Within walking distance of L’Alqueria del Pilar are a number of natural and historical sites that are well worth a visit.
- Within just a 5 minute walk from the house is the Moli l’Ombria, an ancient paper mill. This is now a receation area, where one can enjoy the beautifully crystal clear waters of the River Vinalopó.
- Serrella: This ancient Iberian settlement is located within just 15 minutes walk from the house.
- Peña La Blasca: This is the highest mountain of the Sierra de Fontanella (1,120 m) and offers magnificent and far reaching views in all directions.
- The “Route of the Water Mills” is a local walk that takes in some of the area ́s historical water mills.
